Digital Infrared Thermographic Imaging (DITI)

Health-eFX is pleased to introduce its latest healthcare service.  Digital Infrared Thermographic Imaging -- or DITI -- is a leading-edge, scientific system that allows medical professionals to screen patients in a safe, medically non-invasive process.  It's as simple as taking a photo, but with a highly specialized camera which shows gradations of 1/5 degree variance in a person's skin temperature.

Abnormalities in skin temperature can be significant, as they are sometimes an early indication of an abnormal condition.  One of the most common uses of this technology is in screening patients for early indications of breast cancer.  In some cases, the DITI technology can detect an abnormality several years earlier than the same condition would be found by a mammogram.  This can lead to earlier detection of disease; earlier, less traumatic treatment.....and a higher survival rate.

Some thermographic imaging systems require "cold stressing" by immersing the client's arms in ice water for a period of time before the scan.  NOT THIS SYSTEM.  There is no physical challenge to getting a DITI scan at Health-eFX.  In addition, we preserve your modesty to the utmost degree, with our certified staff of female technicians conducting all breast studies.

DITI does not replace mammograms, or any other diagnostic screening or testing procedure.  Instead, it is an adjunctive means to gather a different sort of information.

Results of DITI screenings are sent to a team of medical doctors, who have additional training in the interpretation of DITI images.  These physicians issue a report which is returned to our office and provided to our client.  The client is then able to share the information with their primary care physician.

DITI is also used in cases of joint disease, in pain management, and as a monitoring system to evaluate and adjust a person's therapies.
